Raw foods diet is great. But be selective of what you eat. Since, the food is uncooked- make sure that the preparation is right and also be extra careful for some potentially unsafe foods.

There are some super foods and drinks that should be on any diet. For many people, simply adding these foods to their diet give them the weight loss boost they need. They feel restricted on more formal diets and just want to lose weight without counting calories or carbs.
Other people benefit from being on a weight loss plan. When choosing a weight loss plan, there are many things to consider. Will you enjoy being on the diet? A diet that you hate is stressful, and it is hard to lose weight when stressed. Also, you'll be more tempted to cheat and may feel guilty about not being able to stick to the plan.

Raw foods are very important for our health. Take raw food as much as possible. I take raw food on daily such as green vegetable, fresh fruit and raw milk. When you cook food, it changes its properties, and takes away many of its benefits such as decrease the level of vitamins and protein.

Raw food is extremely good for our bodies. The logic behind this, is that our bodies were designed to eat raw food. If you consider the entire history of the human race, we have only been cooking our food for a very small percentage of our existence. When we cook food, it changes its properties, and takes away many of its benefits. here is a good page with more information on this topic...

As per my suggestion any diet can be more or less expensive, depending on your tastes. It also helps create a feeling of commitment and gives you a focal point. Some people experience a detoxification reaction when they start the raw food diet, especially if their previous diet was rich in meat, sugar, and caffeine.

Bambie, you should not go abruptly from your regular diet to purely raw foods diet. Try to consume more fruits and veges for the first 2 weeks. Afterwhich, you can try raw foods diet.

Raw foods are easy to digest
Raw foods provide the maximum amount of energy with minimal bodily effort
Raw foods have healing powers that can alleviate many illnesses from low energy, allergies, digestive disorders, weak immune system, high cholesterol, candida, to obesity & weight problems (weight normalization), etc.

Research and real life experiences have also shown that a person can prevent a body's healthy cells from turning into malignant cancerous cells by consuming mostly a raw food diet & whole organic foods

My mother had this diet for almost 2 years. And now she's more of a vegetarian, some cooked and some are not.

There's no scientific studies that proves some health benefits of raw foods diet. But I saw the improvement in my mom's health condition.
