I would change the 'or' into 'and'...diet and exercise. Lone diet would weaken one's body if done abruptly.

Let's put it this way. Have the other as variable and the other as constant:
Choice one is: same amount intake of food and get some fat burning exercise.
Choice two is: same degree of physical activities and restrict yourself with proper diet.So which of the two would result to better weight loss?
MY CHOICE?--> one. Exercise gives you much more than weight loss. It strengthens your body, increase your stamina and refreshes you.

I'll go with Exercise and see whether you can stick with the same diet or have to alter it. In some cases you may even have to increase food intake after you set your foot on accelerating your physical activities. The aim should be strengthening your body along with attaining good looks and not only weight shedding.

I would do both. But if you were to choose one, I would say exercise would result in faster weight loss unless you are eating a massive amount of calories. Basically with exercise, if you can burn more calories than you take in, then you should lose weight. With dieting, it's a matter of cutting down your calories below what you normally burn each day. The problem with dieting alone is that you will probably feel tired and weak often because you are sort of starving yourself.
